The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly is scheduled to consider seven private members’ resolutions on Sept. 25, covering issues including employment generation, regularization of government workers, housing for homeless families and restoration of water resources.
According to a Assembly Secretariat, the resolutions were selected through a ballot held on Sept. 18.

Pawan Kumar Gupta has proposed a uniform policy for regularizing daily-rated, casual, NYC, Mid-Day Meal and similarly placed workers across government departments and agencies.
Several resolutions focus on development and public welfare. Qaysar Jamshaid Lone has urged the government to expedite construction of the Lolab-Bandipora tunnel and road.
Irfan Hafiz Lone has proposed providing five marlas of available state land to homeless families in Jammu and Kashmir, while Mir Saifullah has sought a comprehensive employment policy with measurable annual targets and accelerated recruitment against vacant government posts through transparent and merit-based processes.
Nizam-Ud-Din Bhat has proposed declaring 2027-28 as the year for restoring water resources, including traditional water channels, lost Kuls, shrinking water bodies and encroached wetlands, as part of environmental conservation efforts.
The resolutions will be taken up during private members’ business in the Assembly on Sept. 25.
