The Congress enquiry committee is currently in the Kashmir Valley to gather feedback from party leaders regarding indiscipline and anti-party activities, sources disclosed.

As per sources, the team, which arrived in Srinagar on Saturday, has met several leaders in Srinagar over the past two days.

The team met Pradesh Congress Committee president Tariq Hamid Karra, AICC general secretary and MLA Dooru, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and former PCC president Vikar Rasool.

When contacted, Ghulam Ahmad Mir confirmed that he met the committee.

“The high command took cognisance of the actions of certain leaders and constituted the committee,” he said.

The committee continued its interactions with top leaders on Sunday, meeting several former and sitting MLAs.

“The panel would continue its interaction with the party leaders today,” sources said.

On June 12, the Congress high command constituted a three-member committee to look into incidents of indiscipline in the party’s Jammu and Kashmir unit. The panel comprises Shaktisinh Gohil (convener), Amar Singh (member) and Rafeek Khan (member).
