Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it launched attacks against Israeli air bases Nevatim and Tel Nof in response to an Israeli strike on radar sites within Iran, the Iranian FARS news agency reported. Local media reported sounds of explosions in Tehran, Tabriz and Isfahan early Monday when Israel said it struck military targets in western and central Iran.

The renewed Israeli airstrikes on Iran followed Iranian strikes on Israel that Tehran said were retaliation for Israeli strikes on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon, Israel’s ambassador to the United States posted on social media.
