Border Security Force on Tuesday apprehended a 53-year-old Pakistani citizen in the Akhnoor sector after he crossed the International Border and entered Indian territory.
The detainee, identified as Mohammad Rafiq Kala, a resident of Pindi village, was spotted by BSF personnel stationed in the Pragwal area of Khour.
During preliminary questioning, Kala claimed that he had lost his way while traveling to meet his sister and had accidentally strayed across the border.
Officials confirmed that a thorough search of his belongings yielded no suspicious or incriminating items.
