The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Friday announced that the re-examination for NEET-UG 2026 will be conducted on June 21, days after the medical entrance test held on May 3 was cancelled over alleged paper leak allegations.

In a post on X, the National Testing Agency said the decision to hold the examination again was taken with the approval of the Government of India.

“National Testing Agency has decided to conduct the re-examination of NEET (UG) 2026 on Sunday, 21 June 2026,” the agency said.

The cancellation of the May 3 examination was announced on May 12 following allegations of a paper leak, triggering uncertainty among more than 22 lakh medical aspirants across the country.

The agency advised candidates and parents to rely only on official communication channels for authentic updates related to the examination, admit cards and admission-related procedures.

Candidates can also contact the NTA through its official email and helpline numbers for examination-related queries, the agency said.

NEET-UG is the country’s largest medical entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses in government and private institutions across India.
