JK Govt appoints JKAS officer to oversee LG, CM and ministerial directions

According to Government Order No. 250-JK(Edu) of 2026, the appointment has been made in supersession of all previous orders issued on the subject

The Jammu and Kashmir School Education Department has appointed Hakim Riyaz-ul-Haq, JKAS, Deputy Secretary to the Government, as the department’s Nodal Officer, entrusting him with overseeing key administrative functions, including monitoring directions from the Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister and Minister for School Education.

According to Government Order No. 250-JK(Edu) of 2026, the appointment has been made in supersession of all previous orders issued on the subject.

As Nodal Officer, Hakim Riyaz-ul-Haq will supervise the implementation of decisions and directions received from the Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister and the Minister for School Education. He will also be responsible for handling complaints related to HIV/AIDS and overseeing the functioning of the department’s Document Management System (DMS) Portal.
