Images captured at the accident site reveal that an upright metal pole was knocked sideways after an IndiGo flight collided with it while parking at Srinagar airport.
The aircraft, which was operating on the Navi Mumbai–Srinagar route, was being maneuvered into Bay No. 6 at 9 am when the mishap occurred.
All passengers and crew members are reported to be safe, and no injuries have been recorded. The evacuation was carried out smoothly using manual aircraft stairs.
The relevant authorities will investigate the events and circumstances leading up to the collision in accordance with standard operating procedures. The precise cause will only be established once the inquiry has been completed, and no definitive conclusions are being drawn at this time.
In the meantime, airport operations remain unaffected, with all scheduled flight arrivals and departures continuing as per normal.
