Real Kashmir Football Club (RKFC) will look to turn their fortunes around when they face Gokulam Kerala FC in an Indian Football League (IFL) clash on Sunday (April 12) at TRC Ground, Srinagar.

As per a statement issued, the match is scheduled to kick off at 4 pm and will be live on several channels.

Owned by Arshad Shawl, RKFC have had a challenging season so far in the IFL, formerly known as the I-League. Despite consistent performances, the team has struggled to convert dominance into victories, especially in their recent home fixtures.

Head coach Ishfaq Ahmad, however, remains optimistic ahead of the crucial encounter.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference, he said the team has shown significant improvement over the last few matches.

“The team has improved a lot, but results have not been in our favour. We dominated our last three home games but could not secure wins. We will approach this match with the same positive mindset and aim for a favourable result,” he said.

Ishfaq also acknowledged the strength of the opposition, noting their experience and new signings. “We have faced them in previous seasons. They have a good coach and have brought in new foreign players, so we expect a tough contest,” he added.

RKFC player Huzaifa echoed similar sentiments, saying the team has been playing good football and is hopeful of delivering a strong performance. He also urged fans to turn up in large numbers to support the home side.
