The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted bail to human rights activist Khurram Parvez in a case registered under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, according to legal news portal Live Law.
A division bench of Justices Navin Chawla and Ravinder Dudeja set aside a trial court’s Dec. 17, 2024, order that had rejected Parvez’s bail plea, Live Law reported.
“We have granted bail, subject to various conditions,” the bench said while pronouncing the verdict.
Parvez was arrested by the National Investigation Agency in November 2021 in connection with an alleged terror-funding case and has remained in custody since then. He was arrested in Srinagar on Nov. 22, 2021, and was placed in judicial custody on Feb. 25, 2022, after a series of police custody remands.
