Abhijeet Dipke, founder of the online movement Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), joined the planned demonstration at Jantar Mantar in Delhi on Saturday, organised amid heavy security.
The founder of the satirical online “Cockroach Janta Party”, Abhijeet Dipke said he is “looking forward to meet all at Jantar Mantar”, as he arrived in the capital city, from the United States. “We have to lead this movement with love and peace!” he added in a post on X.
Earlier this week, Dipke had announced that he would return to India from Boston to launch a peaceful protest seeking the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over examination-related lapses. Education reformer and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk has said he would join the protest if Minister Pradhan does not step down by June 5.
Delhi Police and paramilitary forces have been deployed across key locations in the national capital on Saturday as members of the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) began their protest at Jantar Mantar, officials said.
