The Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) has placed the real estate assets belonging to Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah, a past president of the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), under attachment.

The  action is being taken in relation to FIR No. 07/2020, which was originally filed at the CIK Police Station.

Official sources reported that the operation was executed by a CIK unit led by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Nisar Ahmed and District Investigation (DI) East Inspector Rashid Khan. The team conducted a search operation at Dr. Shah’s residence, situated in the Buchwara locality of Dalgate, Srinagar.

During the course of the proceedings, the agency attached 12 marlas of land belonging to Dr. Mubeen Ahmed Shah, who is the son of the late Ali Shah. The attached property is specifically recorded under Khasra numbers 236 and 337 within Estate Buchwara, as well as Survey numbers 889/703, 595/353, and 888.

Authorities have confirmed that these attachment proceedings are directly linked to the aforementioned 2020 FIR. Dr. Shah, who served as the head of the KCCI from 2006 to 2008, has been residing in Malaysia along with his family members since December 2019, according to officials.

The entire attachment process was carried out in the presence of Naib Tehsildar Shah Mohammad Asif, who witnessed the formalities.
