Jammu and Kashmir government is currently weighing the possibility of instituting summer breaks for schools throughout the Kashmir valley, potentially commencing in the second week of July.

Education Minister Sakina Itoo was quoted as saying by GK that the department is actively considering this timeline. She did, however, note that a specific start date has not yet been finalized, and confirmed that a definitive decision will be made upon her return to the Union Territory.

In her remarks, the Minister also appealed to students and parents to dismiss all unverified rumors proliferating across digital spaces.

She clarified that the messages being shared on WhatsApp and various other social media platforms are entirely bogus, and assured the public that an official notification will be released by the government in due course.
