AIIMS Awantipora opens recruitment for 94 faculty posts

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Awantipora has announced a fresh recruitment drive for faculty roles across multiple disciplines, offering a significant opportunity for medical professionals.

As per Advertisement No. 67/2026, released on May 15, 2026, the institute seeks to fill 94 Group ‘A’ faculty positions. These vacancies span 40 departments and include 85 Assistant Professors, 5 Associate Professors, 2 Additional Professors, and 2 Professors.

Online applications will be accepted from May 20 to June 18, 2026, through the official AIIMS Awantipora portal. The institute, established under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY), operates under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, as part of the national AIIMS network.

Selected candidates will receive pay scales ranging from Level 12 to Level 14-A under the 7th Central Pay Commission, depending on the post and qualifications. This recruitment aims to enhance medical education, training, and specialised healthcare services at AIIMS Awantipora, one of Jammu and Kashmir’s emerging premier medical institutions.

Prospective applicants are urged to thoroughly review the eligibility criteria, experience requirements, and department-wise vacancy details before submitting their applications by the deadline.
